I purchased a Model 29-3 a couple months ago at a local gun show. It was supposedly NIB, blued with a 4" barrel.It did come with the original S&W box with cleaning tools. Serial Number AWH****. Upon inspection the gun was in excellent condition pretty much consistent with the NIB description by the seller. No bluing wear, no cylinder turn markings, no marking on the cylinder face, no indication of rust or moisture exposure. Original factory grips in excellent condition. I had really been wanting to purchase a Model 29 but didnt want to fork out the 900 plus that the local gun stores were asking for the Classic model 29 with the lock. I gave 800 for the 29-3, I was wondering how good of a deal this actually was? I can try and get some pictures up in the next day or so.
