Lots of decent knives out there, just remember that "quality" is subjective. What is quality to one person may be real **** to me and someone else. Just my opinion but I've always been partial to Buck, especially the older ones before they started being made offshore, some of them anyway. Gerber, in my opinion is not what they used to be, a lot of them are made in China now, same with Schrade. Even Puma has a line not made in Germany. I have some older Buck knives from the 70's that have been long discontinued and are now selling for hundreds of $$ on ebay.

As someone mentioned earlier, Case makes a great knife and they are made in the US.
