This was my dad's second favorite rifle. I haven't looked at it in a long time. It's a very practical, very light 7MM Remington Magnum. The last time I shot it was when I was a kid. I'm left handed and prefer lever actions. I've always liked the plain wood on this gun. Anyone ever own, or still own a Husky? This one is marked and was distributed by "Tradewinds".

Back in 70s I bought used Husky, 243win, like new. Never shot
it as such. Bought as basis of 6mm/284. Was rebarreled and
restocked. Action was smooth operating. 2 of my buddies at
same time bought Tradewinds 600 actions for their 6mm/284s.
I paid less for used Husky than they did for new action. There
we're quite a few of them sold in this area, I herd no complaints.
I rate them as better than Rem700s or Win 70s that were being
made at the time. The Ruger 77 was only decent US rifle being
made at time. The Browning Safari & H&R Ultra rifles I didn't
consider as U.S. made.

The only Husky I own is a external hammer SxS 16ga from 1905 that I picked up recently. It is extremely well made and handles very good. I am looking forward to getting some 2 1/2 inch shells and trying it out.

Huskies are sweet. I've got four 12 gauge and three 16 gauge underlever Dubbelbössa, running in age from a model 51 made "prior to 1884" to a model 20B made in 1945. Got a Salongsgevär Nr. 255A (that's "miniature rifle"), 22 single shot bolt action from 1944, and my alg gun (don't get much use - ain't seen too many alg in Florida), a Repeterstudsare (repeating rifle) Modell 46, 9.3 x 57mm, made in 1936.

My daughter with my favorite 16, a Model 17 made in 1923, with shorter-than-normal barrels.

That one of yours was made between 1963 and 1967. Built on the Husqvarna Model 1640 action.

When I sold off most of my rifles, I kept my Carl Gustaf.
It's a LH 30 awful 6, with a real pretty European walnut stock.

I have the Swedish husqvarna m38 rifle in 6.5mm Swede. Military surplus she's the only brand new m38 ever produced. The other Carl Gustaf and Oberndorf m38's were m96 fireworks called m96/38. The Swedish quality is awesome. I collect everything husqvarna from meat grinders to dirt bikes.
I picked up a Swedish husqvarna M40 in 9mm Luger pistol but I haven't fired it yet.

I've got one of the Husqvarna lightweights sold with the S&W name
for a couple of years, around 67-68 I believe. It's marked S&W mod C
and is in 30-06. Well made beautiful little rifle on the modified 98
Mauser action design.

I had a Husqvarna rifle just like the one you have back in the 80's and mine was a 30-06 caliber. It was a great shooting accurate rifle and a friend talked me out of it so I sold it to him. I regretted it right after I sold it as I really liked that rifle.

Got a Model 146 in 9.3 x 62mm. They don't go very far at all when you hit'em with that. Shoots 1.5" groups all day at 150 yards. Great gun old FN military large ring 98. Recoil is a little stiff.

Owned a 308 and 22 lr. Both high quality. Bought the 22 off a GI asking pri e of 25.00. Sold it a year later for almost 500.00 in trade guns. I was elk hunting in Gunnison, Co a few years back and found a 270 Win in a LGS. Priced around 500. I talked to the owner about buying it and shipping it to my LGS. Aftdr a while he said he loved the gun and is going to take it home. They all were of high quality. They did not make cheap high dollzr procucts to keep stockholders happy nor high quality to keep customers happy, nope it was to keep the king happy. :)

I have this 30/06 made in 1952. It's built on an FN Supreme action before they started making modifications and has been ultra reliable for years. Very nicely built, excellent machine work and finish. I've used it for a working gun, mostly for elk and mule deer, and it has been great. One of my favorite 30/06's.
