Thumbs up None given, none taken!

Forrest r: 1st, thank you for your posts and especially the chart showing the potentially disasterous result of the combination of an inadvertant double powder charge & a short bullet seating. I think it puts numbers (over pressures) in perspective very graphically.

As for WIN 231(aka, HP-38) I found it to be a very attractive powder for me, a beginning reloader, in that there are multiple published loads for all the pistol calibers I plan to actively reload: .380 ACP, 9mm, .38 S&W Special &/or .357 Magnum and .40 S&W.

When I further discovered that there were over a dozen for .44 Magnum and 9 for .45 ACP my friend was so impressed he went out and bought dies and a press as well. Now, if there was just a powder-puff load for his new 500 S&W Magnum ENCORE barrel out there in WIN 231 we'd have it made.

Guess he'll have to pickup some 296?

Anyway, thanks again! (& as the title of this thread indicates, "None given, none taken!")
