I grew up around revolvers, and went thru my first academy in 1990 with a 686. I also carried a four inch 19-5 for a little while. I am somewhat intrigued with the 8-shot 327 Tactical model. I honestly haven't seen a uniformed LEO carrying a duty wheelgun for years. A few of the guys who came on around the time I did still carry 5-shots and generally remember how to shoot and manipulate them. The younger folk want 5-shots either because they think they look cool or are much lighter and easier to carry than a Baby Glock. What they don't want is practical instructions on how to shoot and carry. $10 for a speed loader would break the bank. My heart goes out to all the instructors out there who offer quality revolver training to anyone honestly dedicated. The revolver still has its place.
