The front site has four adjustments. Push down on the end of the sight away from the muzzle. You can then rotate the little thumb wheel. The numbers by the set screws correspond to the number on the thumb wheel. This allows four different height adjustments of the front sight.

Thanks for the feedback on how it works, but I'm still not 100% clear on the function of the set screws.
Once you set the thumb wheel - say to "2" for example - then what does adjusting set screw #2 do? Lock it down? Allow for additional fine tuning of the height? Or something else?
