Picked up a new SD40VE last night as Academy had them on sale for $299.00 and they are hard to find at a lower price around here.

Haven't done anything but dry-fire it when I brought it home. The trigger is definitely a little heavy right now but not so heavy that I could not hold it on target.

This will be a cheap self-defense pistol so I am just going to dry-fire it and practice with it and see if it gets a little lighter.

It seems really well made and I am looking forward to using it as my carry gun, especially in the car cross draw in a paddle holster that I bought for my M & P40C. It seems to fit perfectly!

Now, I'm going to shoot the dickens out of it at the range until I know it is reliable enough to carry!
