To follow up a bit on Alan F Brooks' post.
Bill Davis sold the Bill Davis Service Center to Branden Irwin in the early/mid 90s. Branden ran it for several years. He had it located inside his range & retail store, Branden's Gun Sales & Indoor Range in Rancho Cordova CA. I was an Asst Manager of the retail side. At one point he relocated the service center to South Sacramento. He eventually closed the doors of the Service Center due to staffing issues. Finding gunsmiths that are capable of doing the quality of work that is worthy of the Bill Davis name proved difficult, especially in gun-unfriendly California.
