Been a watch guy for many years. I think it started when I saw 007's Rolex in "Dr. No" 50 years back. Took me until 1985 before I bought my first Rolex sub though.

Have an Omega Bond watch that was a bargain buy at the time, a Fortis aviator, another bargain buy and a mess of Seiko's.

Maybe ten years back I bought a $150 ETA 2824 watch from Howard Marx an on line dealer. Very basic auto, called the MP. A simple military type face on a nylon strap. That has been my every day watch 99% of the time.

I truly enjoy fine watches but unfortunately can't rationalize buying them. Saw the new Bond watch on TV the other day. Omega on the Bond, striped strap. Retail is $7750!!
