Default M&P's at the range

The wife took her new guns to the range. She hasn't fired anything in about a years time and she's getting a bit recoil sensitive.

We started with the 22 Compact.

She thought it was shooting low initially.

It looked okay to me.

The kid tried it out, but the trigger was a bit tough for him and his hold wasn't secure enough to avoid frequent user induced stovepipes. He was definitely bummed by it, but he's used to heavy guns with 2-3lb trigger pulls.

Then the Shield nine.

I thought she did pretty well there and I didn't mind it, either.

It fired a little high for me.

The wife's shooting was at 5yds and mine at 7.

I like the guns, but my own personal guns of the same type are a bit fancier. Her 22 makes a great trainer and mine's just a good cheater (compensated, match triggered Ruger 22/45). My Springfield RO Compact 1911 is my preference in a 9mm, but the Shield effectively does the same job for half the price.

They're not a bad pair.
