I got my first grip adapter many years ago, to go on a Ruger Speed-Six with the 2 3/4 inch
barrel. Back then you could buy a Tyler's in any gun store, off the shelf.
These days, I go with BK's simply because they are a good product, and easy to order when
want one. E-mails are answered quickly.
Here's a set on my Model 28.
I just ordered a Pachmayr grip adapter for a Colt Official Police 38 I recently acquired. The only
reason I didn't get a BK for it, is they don't make one for Colts. (I know. I asked. One of those quick
reply E-mails.) I should have it in a day or two.
I did have a set of Pachmayr gripper grips "back in the day." They worked great, but would probably
tend to grab a cover garment.
