Welcome to the Forum. Your serial number puts the ship date around 1907. You have what I call a Model 1902 Military & Police because of the round butt. Others call it a Model 1905, because it was made after 1905, but the company only called the square butt Model 1905 back in the time your revolver was made.

It is either a 1st Change or a 2nd Change. The easy thing to look for is under the ejector star. If it has pins under the star that go into the cylinder, it should be a 2nd Change. That one looks like it has been "cleaned" to remove either the bluing or an original nickel finish, but hard to tell for sure which is the case. These are good strong shooters and any standard 38 Special ammunition will work just fine.
