The biggest drawback for both is finding holsters... 5" is worse than 3"... I have 3", 5" & 6" 686's 3" for carry... 5" for range work... 6" is from a friend... good on the range but prefer the 5"

I have 4", 5" 6" & 8 3/8" N frames... love my 5" 625 the most... I don't carry my N frames... so range only...
