How is it that that particular part came up missing? (if you don't mind me asking) I'm a recent owner of a new S&W 500 mag, 4" revolver and am wanting to get all sorts of goodies to go with that new gun including all sorts of reloading stuff. In looking at a Google search It produced the "Ejector Rod Cap Screw" as a buy or add on and I'm wondering why. Is it like a new truck and doesn't come with a bumper (read cap screw) or is it that the heavy recoiling gun shoots that little bugger loose often enough to offer it for sale to anyone? Just not sure why I happened to see so many of them offered for sale, and then to read this thread. Is that a part that it wouldn't hurt to have another or maybe a couple in the gun bag just in case? Smithy.
