I have looted at 2" M15s at shows and agreed they are sorta cool, but for the life of me I couldn't think of a purpose it would fulfill.
Perhaps you have never owned one. A 2" Model 15 shoots about as well as a 4", and is slightly less risky when carrying on a belt. Depending on pants, it IS possible
to pocket carry a 2" 15 with Rogers/Safariland grips, at least with the hammer bobbed. I, too, would prefer a round butt, but it does seem to work perfectly well with
the Rogers grips. In my hands, it shoots more accurately and much faster than a Model 10. I have EDC'd my 2" 15 for many years, with "FBI loads." That's the purpose
it fulfills for me.
