Well we are not on any weight loss diet but our daughter is a surgeon and got us on a paleo ? diet. We told her that it was a bit severe for our preferences but she kept after us and we reached a compromise. We went through the 10 day detox diet and that was absolutely gross and about the most miserable 10 days in my memory.

We agreed that we would do some of the recipes and stick with it as long as we could and that we would most likely wind up just staying with a few of the things that we could tolerate/enjoy.

We are off of white bread and white rice and sugar, and most dairy. We are still with and enjoying uncured bacon, grass fed beef, cage free chickens, cage free eggs w/omega 3 and organic foods as they are available. We usee a butter that is imported from Ireland that is made from the milk of grass fed beef. It is softer and tastier than regular butter. The foods are a little more expensive but we feel that the long term benefits are well worth it.

We believe that these are among the most important features of this diet because we are moderating the amount of chemicals and steroids and POISON that we eat. We plan on staying with it indefinitely.

We have also started exercising. Nothing to strenuous. Not trying to build muscle mass. Just some stretching and cardio routines.

We think we are on the right track. We are not t-totalers here. We allow ourselves SOME splurging. We will have dougnuts every 3 or 4 months. The same with Bluebell. These small infrequent splurges help us to stay committed. Besides Robyn is keepin' an eye on us.

We feel that this is a perfect balance of eating what we want to and keeping an eye on our health.
