I never like to say never so I'll just say it's highly unlikely. I have not heard of any DA only TLs from the factory or any other pre war models.
So as you questioned, probably done after market, worn, or messed with.

TL hammers and triggers are unique to the TL, not easy to find, and not cheap if you do.
