You may compare all your mags to see if it does the same on all. It could be that the "ears" of the offending mag are not the same width, or just plain crooked, maybe spread to allow the nose to rise before it gets chambered.
Some guns are more picky about straight "ears". The Hi-Standard 22 pistol is one of them. The least little misalignment causes problems. One clue is that if it's only on MANUAL slide closing. If it's ok on subsequent auto action, then the SPEED of the slide comes into play. The normal, faster slide action can be chambering the round before it has time to get crooked.....sounds like a mag issue to me. I've "tuned" several.
