I also own a M46 with the serial no. 45427, my books don't tell me much about it other then its in really nice shape and shoots great still. I believe around 1963 but I can Not verify that myself. I use it about once a month just to keep it running good or if my 1958 m41 gets sick which is extremly rare to have happen.
