I don't know... maybe the talk of painting your gun, SHTF, not being spotted from a mile away? Like I said, you brought up "Special Forces", not me...
If you want to paint your guns, go right ahead. I pointed out that soldiers and hunters have a legitimate reason for painting the rifle... camouflage... so I obviously know why it is done by those two groups. (And before I get called out on it, I'm using "soldier" generically here... probably should say armed forces
)
"Because it is my gun and I want to" is a legitimate reason too, but that doesn't mean everyone is going to like your work.
