Default Lawrence Gunfighter for Ruger flattop

Looking at the post about Arvo Ojala and Andy Anderson I had to dig out my Lawrence Gunfighter for the Ruger 7 1/2" flattop. This was my very first handgun which I purchased in 1961. I knew nothing much about handguns but I knew I wanted a 44 magnum in a cowboy gun.I didn't know that a 7 1/2" flattop was fairly rare. I loved watching "Cheyenne" ,"Maverick", 'Bronco" ,"Lawman", and "Sugarfoot." I needed to get a fast draw holster for my 44 and I had seen ads for the Lawrence fast draw holsters like the "Gunslinger" and the "Gunfighter". I chose the Lawrence #78D which was the "Gunfighter" in black. I believe I paid $32.50 for it which was about 1/3 the price of the gun ($96 ). I gunned down many a bad guy out in the middle of a western street until I read an article in the Gun Digest about collectible Rugers and found out how desirable the 7 1/2" flattop was and I never did another fast draw with my six-gun. Anyway, here are the pictures of my "rig."
