Never dismiss the value of a 6 year old thread to a new member. I joined the Forum last year when I bought a Police Model of 1904, Forth Change which left the factory n June 2, 1925. I learned a lot from the Forum as this was my first revolver. Recently I purchased a Model 10-6 that was an Atlanta PD trade-in. Of course the barrel just says S&W 38 Special. The seller said that it was OK to shoot +P but I wasn't sure until I found this thread!
