Default Packmayr Decelerators on Model 29

I got the Packmayr Decelerator for my Model 29. They fit fine but much thinner than the wood grips that came with the 29. They are all once piece (even though it looks like a seam in the pix) and cover the back strap nicely. See pixs.

I had the same question as others where if you grip screw too much, it will come out the other side. I called Pachmayr and they said not to screw it tight. Rather just screw it in until it if flush with the other side of the grip. Seemed to be fine and the grip was not loose at all.

I went to the range and shot some 44 Specials. Handled nice. I need to shoot more before I can say if I like the wood or these grips better. Plus I need to shoot some 44 Magnums as well.
