I considered the 9c but didn't want to extra width for CC. I didn't look at a Springfield because, at the time, I was leery of the grip safety. I no longer am so maybe I'd give it a consideration for future purchases. I'd like to say that I did all this research and gave it all this due consideration but basically I liked the look and feel of it and trust the Smith & Wesson name. It was available and the price was right so I went for it.
