Default Victory failure to lock action open for last shot

Victory Failure, Victory Issue, Victory Problem

I can't tell you how disappointing and extremely frustrating it is to
purchase a new gun and experience an issue such as failure of the action to remain open after the last shot. Right out of the box, brand new SW22 Victory and during the first 100 rounds, wow. Has anyone experienced this same issue ? Has anyone resolved this issue ?

It is bad enough that after 20 to 30 shots, the take down screw must be repeatedly tightened. Hello S&W.... 1/4 cent lock washer would have fixed that ! How did this come to pass ? Now I have to carry a supply of blue locktite when ever I shoot this SW22 Victory. As you can tell, I'm not happy.... anyone else in the same boat ?

UPDATE - Resolved ----------------------------------
It seems that the issue was two fold. First of all, after using lubriplate grease to lube the action, the issue was much better. I then noticed that while using an aggressive thumbs forward hand hold, if my thumbs came in contact with the slide / action release, the it would sometimes allow the action to remain in battery after the last shot. I modified the grip and its all good now. I am both relieved and extremely happy with this new SW22 Victory. On a side note, I installed a nitrile o ring and the take down screw no longer backs itself out after shooting over 350 rounds. It makes you wonder why S&W didn't send us all a bag full of o rings or spit washers.
