I have to admit I had high hopes for the Ruger GP100 in 44spl, but after all of the poor accuracy feedback I read my hoped fell. I handled one over the weekend and the front sight base was hovering above the barrel rib by about 1/16". The action wasn't bad for a Ruger, but overall I was underwhelmed. I was really hoping for a fixed-sight version like they offered in 357.

How does the 69 do with heavy hardcast bullets? Does it seem to have a preference as far as bullet weight?
