I bought the 44 version of that gun last week for $600. I think I got an unusually good deal. If I were to sell it, I was thinking that I would ask $950, so I believe that your price is fair market value, at least in my town. As a few here have mentioned, it's ok to spend market price or a little more on a gun you really want. I know I've done it plenty of times, and never had any regrets.
