I had a blue M581 with the 4" barrel. Local gunsmith in Minneapolis installed a Bomar rib and completed an action job. The sight picture was superb (Oh, to have young eyes again!). It was amazing for its accuracy with 38 Spl light target loads to full power 357 magnum loads. No recoil and very steady muzzle.

My neighbor in Georgia wanted that revolver more than me -- about $300 more than I had in it. Stupidly, I took his money.
