It may be if you don't have a sweat guard the slide is cutting into your body... which I'm surprised no-one has mentioned.

You may not have seen my update but the problem has gone away. I did adjust the ride height of my AG holster and in general it is more comfortable. But, I think this problem was more of an injury in the gym than anything related to carrying my pistol.
