I've had a couple guns reblued and otherwise "refinished" over the years. Have never been satisfied with the results and have generally been sorry that I had it done. Never sent one to Ford's though, so maybe that would have a different (although costlier) result. I too have a pre 29 with a little blue wear but there's no way it is going out for a reblue.
