I noticed the same, the trigger pull on my shield 9 with apex duty carry kit is 5.9 lb and it has low round count 300 aprox. My shield 45 out of the box is noticeable lighter than the shield, haven't measured yet cause sold the gauge, but it is definitely lighter.
