Same field strip issue. Sent it back last Wednesday. (Standard 9mm NTS 10035)

I noticed the issue at FFL transfer but figured it was just my lack of familiarity with the take down process. Contacted S&W support and confirmed something was wrong with it. Sigh....

On a side note, the rear sight was visibly way right on inspection. Shop gun smith aligned it for me. Not the first time they have seen this.

Not bashing S&W. Great company. Just hope this helps someone avoid an additional six week waiting period on their new Shield.
