I have an E series and love it. Great gun, superb fit and finish, fits me well. But I notice not a lot of threads on these guns. Any reason why?

As an aside, am interested in swapping out the front sight for a FO, but can't seem to find many - believe S&W uses a proprietary dovetail cut?
