They can be ordered/set up either way IIRC. We had them after the 1076s and our 4566s were set up that way. Although the 1076s were deeply flawed and broke a lot, the Sig style decocker on that model was pretty handy for me as I am left handed. The 4566s were accurate, but broke a lot too, and we did not keep them very long. As soon as I could take delivery of my approved alternative, I turned in the 4566.
