Important distinction between the 1076 and 4566 de-cocker mechanisms. They are totally different, on the 1076 the de-cocker is on the frame using different mechanics and was subject to a recall.

The 4566 de-cocker is on the slide and is VERY robust, once in a blue moon does one hear about an issue, and when you do it's usually the result of a weakened plunger spring.

Enjoy the 4566, just like it's longer barrel brother, the 4506, it's built like a tank.
