I don't understand the logic here. Snap caps cushion the blow from the firing pin against the chamber face. Dummy rounds are for training use. Snap caps are designed to receive the blow from the firing pin, to protect the firearm. Some of the older snap caps have springs to receive the blow from the firing pin. No just for "training purposes".
