Heading out to take a look at it this afternoon. Will post up pics if I get it.

The guy lives about 45 minutes away and we couldn't sync up with the holiday.

To be serious for a moment:
1.The $1000 price seems reasonable, if the revolver is in like new condition with presentation case, based upon a review of recent sales and reviewing the value cited in the SCSW 4th edition.
2. The back of the cylinder should have a N stamped on it and the left side of the grip frame (same side of frame as the thumb latch) should have a N stamped on it.
