Well, I'll have one soon enough, so I will get over it. Anyone know what year it is?

Look at it this way, if it had always had the hole most people just would not care. The hammer pin was visible on early smiths, and it never stopped anyone that I know of from buying one. On the Ruger DA revolvers the hammer pin is visible, and I don't think I have ever heard of anyone complain. As far as looks, I don't think it does not bother me in the least. The annoying part is that smith caved to gun haters.
