My thinking is this: If you're the type of gun owner/shooter who absolutely just has to have the next big thing, a thing that probably offers only mimimal improvements over what you already have, then yes, it's worth it. But probably only in your mind.

And in your last comment, you say you'd probably buff down the grip texture. Why buy a more expensive, and supposedly improved, version of a gun you already have if you're just going to try and turn the new gun into the one you already have?

Spend that extra money on more ammo or an extra mag or two. Or sights. Or groceries. Or something.
