The Camp Perry was introduced (in 1920, but deliveries started about 1926) with a 10" barrel. Late in the production the 8" (like this one) was offered as an option or replacement, depending on which source you read. I prefer the feel of the Camp Perry to an 1891, but always shot the Smith better.
