Back in my salad days all green and mixed up I bought a British L39A1 which had a 24" hammer forged barrel in 7.62nato. Excellent condition. Set up as a target rifle so no sights. Did manage to get a Paramount target rear sight and base for the #4 rifle. Made up a sight base for the globe front sight. Basically a clamp on setup and I didn't want to drill and tap the front of the barrel. Was very accurate and for some stupid reason which escapes me today used it in a trade for which I cannot remember what I got in trade. Less that 1200 were imported into the U.S. and then there was the MAS 98 style 22rf rifle. Almost mint condition. Again it went down the road. Less than 2000 imported. The spare mags sold for $50 each. After that stuck with military surplus rifles and martini 22rf 12/15's. Frank
