When I bought my 629-6 a few months ago I bought 100 rd of 44 Spl and 250 of 44 Mag from LAX when they had free shipping. Now I'm just about out of 44 Spl. They had free shipping again and I tried to order 200 rd, but they only had 100 left, and that disappeared during checkout. So I ordered another 250 rd can of 44 mag at $119.99. Not bad. Their 44 mag is on the light side at just over 1000 FPS. Enough to give you the "magnum experience" but noticeably softer than standard range ammo. I also got some HSM 44 spl from Cabela's. Very smoky stuff, like shooting black powder. I've seen some people claim that's intentional, for the "old west" effect. But I wouldn't buy it again, not for my indoor range. The LAX ammo is good clean stuff.
