The single actions built by USFA were the closest copy and most of them were better than some of the early 3rd generation Colt SAAs.

I bought a 1980 .44 Special New Frontier. The action was rough as a cob. About 2006, I bought a .44 Special USFA single action. The USFA is as good or better than a 2nd Gen SAA that belongs to a friend of mine.
