I just read in the Forum where someone was saying that S&W will not change the Barrel on any Aluminum frame revolver. Well, they changed the Barrel on my S&W 317. So far I have had no problems. I had a problem with the 317 a few years ago with misfires and malfunctions.

I sent the 317 back to S&W, and they replaced a few internal parts with new ones. I had to return my Model 10 for problems too. I believe that S&W had a better Co. when it was owned by a British Co. back some years ago.
