I finally got around to lettering my engraved guns and the letters came in yesterday. I had these up for sale a while back and realized that even with the boxes, I needed letters to confirm the factory engravings. I wasn't worried that they wouldn't letter as I purchased them from the original owner, but felt that if I did chose to relist them for sale, that this would make a much more comfortable transaction for the buyer and seller.

The 65 has some pretty wicked engraving on the cylinder which I really like. The grip colors are delightful and the work done on the side plate is gorgeous.

The 14 is my favorite though. There's something about an engraved 6 inch blued revolver that screams masterpiece. And it just so happens to be one too The shading and depth of the engraving is what gets my juices going with this one.

Both lettered as Factory Class A engraved and both were shipped on the same week to the same store in my home state of Georgia. I'm still on the fence about selling these as I like guns that I can shoot, but I thought I'd share some pics and the letters for everyone's enjoyment. My thoughts are that these were done overseas when factory engraving was being outsourced in the mid 80s. Some of the more senior/veteran members may have more info to add.
