Your best chance of finding the "pop" you like with 9mm target ammo is with Winchester NATO 124g FMJ. It is loaded to almost +P level, and provides a noticeable extra kick (if that's what you're referring to) over standard ammo. And it's accurate. The last bunch of NATO I shot resulted in my best shooting ever at 15 yards with my Shield (5000 total rounds). Best of all, it's affordable. It's not hard to find online for $10-11 per 50.
