Not sure how much optic you need, but I have a Vortex Strike Eagle 1x8 that I have mounted on my POF that is a very good glass, but it is also more of tactical style.
I used to be a Burris fan, but Vortex seems to have a little better clarity.
Since my choice is more of tactical nature and if you want really good glass, for huniting or target shooting go with Leopold or Vortex.
Cost becomes a factor, as well as weight, so look carefully, especially the mount.
