Thanks for the responses, about what I was thinking. The "Wondersight" was made to fit sideplate screw offering an adjustment for fixed sight guns. No need with pre-29. It would be possible to use a peep sight blade on the existing sight. (like RMs, except for nut) I can't figure out what that hole might have been for.
