I remember when a bottle of Coke was a nickel.[emoji1]

All that I have seen lately is my wife, but she wouldn't let me post a picture. We been married little over 47 years.

I like the art. The price sounds nice also. But even if that were valid... I would end up with Mountain Dew. -yuk- That stuff is horrendous.

I've never drank battery acid. I want to guess that it tastes like Mountain Dew.

When they could not get sugar, during WW2, they went to corn syrup. Aside from being sweet, it was also much cheaper.

After the war they stayed with corn syrup, as it was still MUCH cheaper.

Aside from "throwbacks" and "retro" mainline drinks, and "Mexican coke", I've never had soda made with sugar.

I have, however, had Mexican coke, and "throwback" Dr Pepper and Pepsi.

The stuff with corn syrup is better.

Why would I say such a blasphemous and patently untrue thing, you ask?

Because the stuff with corn syrup is what I'm used to - what I've drank all my life. So it tastes better - to me. It's all about what you're used to.

They already had "deposits" back then?

You're ruining my image of the "good" old times .....

Hardware store were my Dad worked had a short heavy metal Coke machine 10 cents . McDonalds hamburger was 35 cents , food was a lot better quality back then. I also remember dad drove a old Studebaker stake bed truck till around 1970.
