Oh, that's another nice 29-3! I have one, six inch barrel, nickel plated. I wasn't a fan of the nickel plating either, it's very bright and shines like a diamond in a goat's ***, but it has grown on me.

The question of caring for nickel finishes always comes up. Solvents containing ammonia should be avoided as they will seep under any chip or crack in the nickel and dissolve the underlying copper plating... but S&W says they never copper plated before applying the nickel... still, I'd use nothing stronger than Hoppe's Number 9. I like to apply wax to my nickeled 29-3 after cleaning. Renaissance Wax is preferred, but 100% Carnuba wax without any abrasive works too. Abrasives are definitely to be avoided.
